Accessibility Statement

Elham’s Castor Oil is a small, family-run business, and we want everyone to be able to shop with us comfortably, including people with disabilities. If anything on our site gets in your way, we want to hear about it.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most widely used for websites. Accessibility is ongoing work, and some parts of our site may not fully meet it yet.
What we have done
- Checked our pages with automated accessibility testing tools
- Made sure text and buttons have strong color contrast against their backgrounds
- Added text descriptions to our images for screen reader users
- Organized pages with clear headings so they are easier to navigate
- Made sure the site can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible outline showing where you are and a “Skip to content” link
- Kept pages readable when zoomed to 400% or viewed on a narrow screen, without scrolling sideways
- Turned off moving and animated effects for visitors who set “reduce motion” on their device
- Made sure nothing on the page moves or rotates on its own
We review our site again whenever we add new products or pages.
Content from other providers
Some parts of our site are run by other companies, including checkout and Shop Pay (Shopify), subscriptions (Recharge), our cart drawer (One Click Upsell), product reviews (Judge.me) and our email sign-up form (Klaviyo). We choose providers that support accessibility, but we do not control their code. If you have trouble with any of these, please let us know and we will help.
